Welcome to the South Texas Chapter of ASNT
The South Texas Section of ASNT was established in the early 1970's. We have had some very distinguished members such as Clarence Lautzenheiser, Sam Wenk, Bill Minton, Robert Baker, Ed Ruescher, and others. Clarence Lautzenheiser, Sam Wenk, and Robert Baker all served as president of the ASNT National organization and guided the early days of the organization. Membership has come from many companies in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and everywhere in between. Membership included employees from Southwest Research Institute, IHI Southwest Technologies, Kelly Air Force Base, and many other companies. Industries represented by the membership include nuclear and fossil fuel power utilities, oil and gas, aircraft and aerospace, and NDE training.
We usually try to have a technical about once a month and usually have about 15-20 members present. We try to have one meeting a year at a local university such as UTSA. We would certainly like to invite you to any of our meetings. We will publicize our meeting events on the website.
