I was honoured to be invited to attend the AGM of the SOuth African Section at the end of May 2014. The AGM which was held in Johannesburg was also a time to meet old friends and have a meal and approx 48 members attended. The evening was a great success, which is credit to the hard working committee of Garth, Elaine, Hans and their partners.
After completing the business of the day, technical presentations were delivered and food was served.
The day after the meeting, myself and my wife were lucky enough to have a day at a safari park with Gart Appel and his lovely wife Sil. The sun shone and the animals were out in force.
We were fortunate enough to see the fantastic White Lion, natural golden Lion cubs and a Cheetah cub, an experience we will cherish forever.
We can't thank Garth and Sil enough for giving up their valuable time to take us not only to the Safari Park for the day, but being the perfect hosts in the evening when the committee took us out for the biggest meat sweats ever.
