ASNT attended the BiNDT conference in Telford with an exhibition stand and the visit was marked by the visit of Ricky Morgan A.S.N.T. President. The exhibition stand was manned by NATL section volunteers and the majority of questions revolved around points recertification and examination timetable. A.S.N.T. supplied many interesting freebies to give away to all who called at the stand, some which caused a bit of a guessing game as to the purpose !!
The stand was next to Oceaneerings rope access display team who performed throughout the conference.
The institute organised an evening function to RAF COSFORD museum, which is still a full operational aerodrome. It houses 70 aircraft on display throughout the museum and a second hanger with a trip through the cold war. Classic aircraft are displayed including Spitfires and Hurricanes (pictured)
The conference had papers delivered on all the major methods covering all industry applications including Phased Array, Defect Sizing, NDT for vintage Aircraft and even social networking
